“Is there a personal chef you could recommend?” is a common question. A chef comes to your home, prepares and serves an exquisite meal and then clean up afterwards.
We work with a number of chefs and catering companies. The first question is one of availability. Once you confirm the date we go to the chefs we work with to see who is available. Once we find someone we introduce you to each other so you can communicate directly. We only work with chefs that we have 100% confidence in to prepare a fantastic meal.
There is no set menu. You tell the chef what kind of a meal you would like and they create it. Give or take it is only limited by your imagination. You can have very specific ideas in terms of the menu or let the chef suggest something. You and the chef go back and forth until you are satisfied with the menu. On the day of the dinner the chef will arrive a couple of hours before dinner is to be served to prepare dinner. Dinner is served at an arranged time and then the chef will clean-up afterwards.
The fee is a flat CAD600 plus 5% tax for the chef’s services in addition you are charged for the cost of the food. We will provide an invoice showing the cost of the food. Much of the food is bought the day of the dinner so billing usually takes a couple days. You pay Whistler Wired and Whistler Wired provides payment to the chef. You can ask us to add a gratuity to the invoice which we will pass onto the chef or you can provide a cash gratuity directly.
