Where to Leave the Car

Whistler Village is built for walking, so most guests park once and forget the car until departure day. The day lots on Blackcomb Way handle the bulk of visitor parking, with a couple of covered parkades for anyone who would rather keep the snow off. Every option is covered below, from the day lots to EV charging, along with the winter rules worth knowing before you arrive.

The Day Lots, 1 through 5

Five open-air lots along Blackcomb Way, a short walk from the lifts and the Village Stroll. No height restrictions in any of them.

Lots 1, 2 & 3

Closest to the lifts

Right at the Whistler and Blackcomb base areas, which makes them first choice for skiers and bikers, and the first to fill on a powder morning. Worth arriving early for.

Lots 4 & 5

Quieter, slightly further

A few minutes more on foot to the gondolas, and usually easier to find a space for it. These two are the only day lots that allow overnight parking, and only during the summer months.

Oversize Area, Lot 3

RVs, trailers & campers

The east end of Lot 3 is set aside for RVs, trailers, camper vans and anything else too tall or too long for a regular stall. Open-air with no height limit. Stays are capped at 24 hours in summer.

Winter Rule

No overnight parking in any day lot from November 1 to March 31. The lots are plowed nightly, and vehicles left behind risk a ticket or a tow. If you are staying the night, the car needs to be somewhere else by late evening.

Covered Parkades

Two options in the Village if you want the car under a roof. Check the clearance before you commit, especially in a van or a truck with a lift.

Town Plaza Parkade

3.7 m clearance · Northlands Blvd entrance

The most generous clearance of any covered structure in the Village at 3.7 m (12’2″), which is enough for most cargo vans and taller trucks. Central location under Town Plaza.

Conference Centre Underground

2.1 m clearance · Below the Conference Centre

Sits directly beneath the Conference Centre, a short walk from Fitzsimmons, Telemark and the Royal Suite, which makes it the natural choice for guests staying at any of the three. The 2.1 m (6’10”) clearance means standard vehicles only.

EV Charging

Level 2 stations are spread through the Village and the surrounding neighbourhoods. You pay for the charge and the stall separately.

Rules Worth Knowing

The essentials that keep you clear of tickets and tow trucks.

Overnight in Winter

Between November 1 and March 31 no vehicle can stay overnight in any of the day lots. It is a snow-clearing rule, not a revenue one, and it is enforced.

Sleeping in Vehicles

Not permitted anywhere in Whistler, whether in a public lot, on a road, or on private property. This applies to campers and vans as much as to cars.

Paying for Parking

On-site meters take credit cards and coins, or skip the meter entirely with the PayByPhone app, which also lets you top up remotely if lunch runs long. Payment is also accepted at Municipal Hall.

Monthly Passes

Residents and local employees can apply for monthly passes valid in specific lots. The Resort Municipality of Whistler handles eligibility and applications.
