Match the bike to the ride
The Bike Park. Lift-served descents need a downhill or enduro bike built for it, plus a full-face helmet and pads. Premium, Black Diamond and Whistler Blackcomb all rent park bikes, and Black Diamond sits right at the base.
The trails. For the cross country network around Lost Lake, Cheakamus and Function Junction, a trail bike climbs and descends well. Our bike trails guide covers where to start.
The Valley Trail. Forty paved kilometres linking the lakes, parks and neighbourhoods, flat enough for everyone. A valley bike or an e-bike is all you need, and kids ride along or sit in a trailer.
