Whistler Tasting Tours
Four restaurants, four courses and a local guide walking you between them
Whistler has more good restaurants than a week of dinners can cover. Whistler Tasting Tours solves that by taking you to four of them in one evening: a course at each, a local host who knows the chefs, and a walk through the Village between stops that doubles as a tour of the town.
Two evening tours run year round. Finer Things is the dinner tour, four courses at some of the Village's best tables, with a champagne sabering in a wine cellar on the way. Hidden Gems visits the places locals keep to themselves. Groups are capped at around ten, so book early in peak weeks.
A dinner that moves
The evening starts in the Village around 4:45pm with introductions and a glass of something. From there the host leads the group to the first restaurant, where a course is already ordered and the chef often comes out to talk about it. Then it is back onto the stroll, with stories about the Village along the way, to the second, third and fourth.
Finer Things is built around the Village's finer dining rooms and includes the champagne sabering. Hidden Gems is more relaxed and leans on smaller, chef-owned places. Both include the food and gratuities; a wine and craft beer pairing can be added when you book, and dietary needs can be accommodated with notice.
It is a walking tour, so comfortable shoes matter more than the dress code, and in winter a coat for the stretches between restaurants. Guests under nineteen are welcome on Finer Things from sixteen; alcohol is served to nineteen and over with ID.
